Yoga is a practice that helps kids develop strength, flexibility, balance, and focus by using their bodies and minds together.
Through fun and engaging poses and movements, yoga can help kids release energy, calm their minds, and improve their overall health and well-being.
It’s a great way for kids to connect with their bodies, breathe deeply, and learn mindfulness skills that can help them in school, sports, and other activities.
Yoga also provides a non-competitive environment where kids can explore their physical abilities, build confidence, and learn to respect themselves and others.
By practicing yoga, kids can develop healthy habits that can last a lifetime!

What Does a Kids Yoga Class Look Like?
Here are a few of the tips we share at the Kids Yoga Certificate Training Course:
- Keep it interactive: Incorporate games, music, and storytelling into your yoga classes. This will help keep the kids engaged and interested in the practice.
- Create a safe environment: Safety is important when teaching kids yoga. Make sure the space is safe and free from hazards. Also, ensure that the poses and activities are appropriate for the age and skill level of the children.
- Encourage self-expression: Allow the children to express themselves through their yoga practice. Let them explore different poses and encourage them to use their imagination.
- Focus on breathing: Breathing exercises are an essential aspect of yoga. Teach the children to focus on their breath, which can help them relax and manage stress and anxiety.
- Make it relatable and age appropriate: Big lessons can be learned from simple explanations. For a practice that goes beyond the physical, teach children how to navigate life’s challenges through simple yoga analogies. They understand more than we think they do!
Remember, kids yoga is about being creative, and learning to take care of the body and mind. By following these tips and learning how to structure a great class, you can create a fun and engaging yoga class that inspires and empowers children and beyond.
